“Gazprom” has not violated treaties in Europe – Hungarian foreign minister

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that no one in Europe had ever encountered a violation of gas supply contracts by Gazprom

According to him, Gazprom has always been a reliable partner for Hungary.

“All deadlines, contracts and supply volumes have been respected. As far as I know, not a single country in Europe has complained that Gazprom has violated its gas supply obligations”, – Szijjártó said.

He also added that complaints by some European politicians against Russia could be related to the refusal of additional gas supplies, but the issue was a commercial trade.

“It is easy for politicians to blame one country or person in order to absolve themselves of responsibility. I know it is much more complicated than some European colleagues think. I can say from my experience: it is not easy to come to an agreement with Gazprom, but if you have done it, you can be sure that everything will be fulfilled”, –  the diplomat underlined.
