Putin urged the United States to develop effective dialogue based on respect

The New Year should begin with the United States and the Russian Federation establishing effective dialogue and mutually beneficial agreements.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin expressed his hope for such a turn of events when he sent New Year and Christmas greetings to his American counterpart Joe Biden. This was reported by Izvestia, citing the Kremlin press service.

“Russia and the United States, as countries bearing special responsibility for international and regional stability, can and should interact constructively, joining forces in the face of the many challenges and threats facing humanity,” the President said.

Putin noted that the summit in Geneva, which took place in June this year, showed that Russia and the United States can come to an agreement and develop the agreements already reached. The new negotiations are a chance to move forward in bilateral relations, which will be based on mutual respect, the Russian president is confident.
