Talks between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and United States President Joe Biden may take place early next year.
This was stated by the owner of the White House himself, according to the “Krasnaya Vesna” agency, referring to the journalistic pool of the Biden administration. The president was asked if he had any plans to meet with Putin, to which he replied: “We will see.” Biden does not exclude that their personal conversation may take place as early as January.
This month, the heads of the two states have already talked. True, this happened exclusively in the format of a video conference. A personal meeting between Putin and Biden is still in question, but the American and Russian sides maintain regular contact. Moscow is ready at any time to organize a summit and discuss all problematic issues.
Many international meetings are already planned for January. So, on the 10th, Russia and the United States will hold a meeting in the format of a strategic dialogue at the level of representatives of ministries. It will take place against the backdrop of heightened tensions in the Donbass. Just a few days later, on January 12, a meeting of the Russia-NATO Council will take place, at which the draft security guarantees proposed by Russia will be discussed. A day later, the same topic will be raised at a meeting with the OSCE.
