The Pentagon gave the US Air Force an important mission near the borders of Ukraine with Russia, PolitRussia reports.
The American side has recently demonstrated what decision was made by US President Joe Biden on the issue of security guarantees that Moscow recently demanded from NATO.
“This mission was more than an attempt to spy on Russian troops. This was a statement by the Biden administration to the Russian side”, writes Forbes.
The other day, on December 28, two American aircraft were seen in the skies over Eastern Ukraine. The E-8C ground observation aircraft and the RC-135V reconnaissance aircraft have demonstrated their intentions to carry out operations in the airspace near the Russian borders, American military expert David Ex told about this.
“A group of US military personnel recently visited Ukraine to assess the country’s air defense system. And now the Americans are collecting intelligence and presumably sharing it with the Ukrainians”, the expert said.
The E-8C and RC-135V tandem is capable of processing all the information received about the real state of affairs on the Russian-Ukrainian border in the shortest possible time. The Pentagon wished not to keep such an event a secret, embarking on a worked-out scenario of provocations in Nezalezhnaya.
“Meanwhile, Washington has stepped up support for Kiev. The United States has donated billions of dollars worth of radars, patrol boats and anti-tank missiles to Kiev”, says Aix.
Borders, be they moral or physical, have once again proved to be ephemeral for the American establishment. Russian politicians have repeatedly explained to their Western colleagues from all sides what to expect from Moscow in case of violation of the voiced “red lines”. The threat of the consequences of Ukraine itself does not bother Americans much, but holding another war on the territory of the country may turn out to be a lifeline for the US economy.
