Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said that NATO is preparing for a full-scale armed conflict with Russia
According to him, doctrinal documents of the North Atlantic Alliance in recent years state that the Russian Federation is “the main source of threats to coalition security.”
“The bloc is purposefully preparing for a large-scale armed conflict with Russia”, – Fomin said.
The deputy defence minister also recalled that the Rome Declaration, which regulates the relationship between the North Atlantic Alliance and Russia, “remains in force”.
“It defines that Russia and the alliance do not regard each other as adversaries. This setting was confirmed at the 2010 NATO-Russia Council summit in Lisbon”, – he pointed out.
