Moscow proposed date for NATO-Russia bilateral meeting

The NATO press service has reported that the alliance’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has offered Moscow a date for a bilateral meeting

“NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, in his capacity as Chairman of the NATO-Russia Council, has decided to convene the Council meeting on January 12, 2022. We are in contact with Moscow on this meeting”, –  the statement said.

Furthermore, Stolenberg reminded that NATO’s position is that any dialogue with Russia should be held “on the basis of reciprocity” and should take into account NATO’s concerns about Russia’s actions, based on key principles and fundamental documents of European security, in coordination with NATO’s European partners”.
