The expert believes that Washington may well compromise with Moscow and abandon the idea of drawing Ukraine and Georgia into NATO. True, in response, he proposes to demand some concessions from Russia. It is worth noting that Buchanan seems confident that the documents will have to be signed one way or another.
The North Atlantic Alliance, like the United States, has received copies of the projects that need to be considered. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has scheduled a meeting of the NATO-Russia Council on this topic for 12 January.
