Ukraine not ready for a new “Maidan” – political analyst evaluates likelihood of a coup

The consequences of the coup d’état that took place in Ukraine in 2014 led to the emergence of fear in society, political scientist Andriy Zolotarev said in an interview with Ukraina.ru.

“Ukraine is not ready for the next “Maidan” yet. Let’s not forget a very simple truth: “Maidan”, which is not accepted by the US Embassy, it is by definition counterfeit and doomed to failure”, Zolotarev said.

According to the expert, Ukraine is rapidly falling to the bottom of the civilization funnel and new revolutions can only aggravate this process. Political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko stressed that active revolutionary processes are not only a manifestation of the emotions of the people of Ukraine, but also a carefully funded technology.

“Today I do not see those interested parties who are ready to invest in this kind of technology. That is, there will always be protests, but these are not protests that lead to the overthrow of the regime or serious upheavals. Of course, theoretically, if someone has billions of dollars to spare, then an ordinary protest can be turned into a “Maidan,” Bondarenko said in an interview with Ukraina.ru.
