Ukraine launched production of Bayraktar drones

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Bayraktar TB2 have begun to be produced in Ukraine, said the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, in an interview with Focus.

“We are expanding our cooperation with Turkey. It all started with the supply of “bayraktars”, and now their production has already started in Ukraine”, Yermak said.

He recalled that Ukraine is already producing engines for Turkish Bayraktar drones. Earlier it was reported that the new Ukrainian-Turkish plant will begin to create jet drones of the ANKA type, which are capable of countering aerial targets and other UAVs. They will use Ukrainian engines and Turkish avionics.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said earlier that Kiev plans to purchase from Turkey another batch of Bayraktar drone drones for the country’s Armed Forces.

According to the Senator of the Russian Federation Alexei Pushkov, Ankara knows exactly how Kiev plans to use Bayraktar drones, and therefore “Turkey bears a share of responsibility for the consequences of their use”.
