President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries, as well as the recent Eastern Partnership summit.
“Lukashenko personally congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his 60th birthday. He thanked for the friendly support at the Eastern Partnership summit. Aliyev informed his Belarusian counterpart about the situation on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh and the course of restoration of these lands”, the press service of the President of Belarus said.
In addition, the heads of Belarus and Azerbaijan discussed the entire range of relations between Minsk and Baku, and also agreed to continue the conversation at the upcoming summit in St. Petersburg.
Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the trust of the people of the republic is much more important to him than recognition from the leaders of the European Union countries.
