Fatal consequences await – Lavrov warns US against invasion of Balkans

The Kremlin has expressed hope for the presence of will and reason in the White House on the Balkan issue, PolitRussia reports

The U.S. is avoiding the Balkan issue in its discussions with Russia for a reason. It is in the political tradition of Washington to solve the internal problems by meddling in the affairs of other states. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this in an interview with the Bosnian-Herzegovinian publication Oslobođenje.

“We hope that the Biden administration has enough political will and reason not to turn the Balkans into another front of anti-Russian confrontation, otherwise it will have detrimental consequences for Europe as a whole”, –  the politician said.

Global stability around the world depends on mutual understanding between the American establishment and the Russian side. For this reason, a full-fledged conversation between Washington and Moscow should be established as soon as possible, Lavrov said.

News Front previously wrote about NATO’s desire to drag Ukraine into a military confrontation with the prospect of placing missile systems near Russia’s borders.
