British Daily Star edition has named the date of the “invasion” of Russian troops in Ukraine

British tabloid Daily Star published an article stating that Russian troops will “attack” the territory of Ukraine on the eve of Catholic Christmas – December 24.

The publication writes that the British intelligence leaders allegedly warned British ministers about the “real possibility of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine” on December 24.

“This date coincides with the 42nd anniversary of the introduction of Soviet troops into Afghanistan [December 24, 1979]. Up to 100 thousand Russian troops are concentrated on the Ukrainian border”, writes the Daily Star.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Defense and the British Foreign Office declined to comment on what action London might take in the event of a “Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory.” Colonel Richard Kemp, the former commander of British forces in Afghanistan, said there is no possibility of direct intervention by Britain, NATO or the United States in the event of a Russian “attack” on Ukraine.

In recent months, Western media have regularly reported that Moscow is allegedly preparing for an “attack” on Ukrainian territory and is pulling troops to the border with Ukraine. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov stressed that Moscow is moving Russian troops exclusively on its territory and does not threaten anyone.
