Nothing to discuss: NATO intends to continue anti-Russian policy

The alliance does not intend to give up its sole purpose of existence, FAN reports.

The North Atlantic Alliance is reneging on Moscow’s demands for a non-expansion of the military bloc to the east. NATO intends to develop its relationship with Ukraine without “Russian interference.”

“We are committed to the right of all countries to determine their future, their foreign policy without external interference,” the organization’s official document says.

According to representatives of the Alliance, negotiations with Russia should be conducted after Moscow demonstrates “concrete steps to reduce tension.” Dmitry Rodionov, Director of the Center for Geopolitical Research of the Institute for Innovative Development, shared his opinion on this matter.

“It’s not very clear what is meant by “acting in the direction of reducing tension”? Are they offering us to withdraw our troops from the border? Perhaps, in general, to bare the border, to remove the border posts? Or give up Crimea, and at the same time withdraw the recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia and withdraw troops from there? Or give the Kuriles to the Japanese, and at the same time the Pechora to the Estonians? They believe that the tension is created by the activities of Russia on its own territory or on the territory of allies, bordering with us, directly affecting our security. We do not deploy bases and troops in Cuba or Venezuela, where the borders of their security begin. And that’s exactly what they are doing at our borders, thereby creating tension. So, if they want to establish a dialogue, let them stop the actions that create this tension”, the expert says.

It was naive to expect disarmament from the anti-Russian militarized structure and the abandonment of the original goal – to oust Russia from the world arena. No guarantees or promises from US President Joseph Biden will change NATO’s mindset.

“And even if they did, these guarantees would be worthless. The only possible guarantees for Russia are the strengthening of its army, navy, Aerospace Forces and Strategic Missile Forces. And why not really in Cuba and Venezuela? Our guarantees are the strengthening of military cooperation with China. Recently, the West was deeply agitated when Russian and Chinese ships passed between the Japanese islands. It’s time to “walk” in the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately, this is the only language they understand”, Rodionov summed up.

Earlier News Front talked about how Chinese analysts proposed to resolve the issue of US aggression by deploying Russia’s missile potential in Cuba.
