Satanovsky: NATO expansion will follow Putin’s script

According to political analyst Yevgeniy Satanovskiy, Russian President Vladimir Putin has managed to prevent the expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance according to the Western scenario

As News Front reported earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry handed over to the US a draft bilateral treaty on security guarantees and an agreement on security measures between Russia and NATO countries. The documents state that Moscow and Washington undertake not to use the territory of third states to prepare or carry out an armed attack on each other.
In the political scientist’s opinion, Moscow’s move was a response to Western countries’ preparations for an attack on Russia. Satanovsky believes that the Russian leader’s graceful move has given Moscow a significant advantage and events in Eastern Europe will henceforth unfold according to his scenario, PolitEkspert writes.

“So far no one has managed to calculate Putin in any really important situation. The events will obviously not follow the Western scenario and certainly not the Kiev scenario,” said the expert.

According to Satanovskiy, the entire essence of the adventure with the expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance is fully aimed at provoking the Russian Federation. The political scientist added that Western countries were trying to launch full-scale military actions between Ukraine and Russia, in case of which the West could come to Kiev’s aid.

The YouGov research service commissioned by the US-based Charles Koch Institute conducted a sociological survey among US residents. The experts found out that almost half of Americans are against the White House starting a war for the Ukrainian territory
