AFU platoon commander sold drugs to his subordinates

Drugs remain a serious problem in the ranks of the AFU. As it turned out, the commanders themselves play a major role in the situation

Aleksandr Mazeikin, an officer of the press service of the LPR People’s Militia Department, said that a platoon commander of one of the brigades of the Kiev army had supplied his subordinates with drugs. This was reported by the Luhansk Information Centre.

“As a result of the work of a surprise commission of the military law enforcement service on December 16 at the positions of the 3rd battalion of the 79th AFU brigade near the village of Lopaskino, 18 fighters were checked, of whom 14, led by platoon commander Senior Lieutenant Muray, were under the influence of drugs”, –  shared the representative of the defence department of the republic.

The commission found narcotic substances in the soldiers’ personal belongings. During the investigation, the soldiers confessed that they had received them from their platoon commander.

However, the commander of the brigade where the drug dealer is serving does not want to punish his subordinate. He is in no hurry to hand over the materials on Murai to law enforcement agencies so that they can file a case against him.
