Zakharova: the West will drive Ukraine into a pit with loans for the purchase and maintenance of weapons

The world community once again refuses to sensibly assess the situation in Ukraine. The head of the Munich Security Conference, Wolfgang Ischinger, believes that the main problem in Kiev is insufficient weapons.

According to him, “reasonable armament of the Ukrainian army will be able to moderate the ardor of the Russian side.” The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, commented on Ischinger’s statement on her Telegram channel.

She drew attention to the fact that the problem lies not in the lack of weapons, but in the destroyed economy. Moreover, Ukrainian society also suffers from fragmentation. And all this is under the leadership of practically incompetent authorities who do nothing that could pull the country out of the crisis.

Zakharova noted that such statements clearly indicate that Europe does not intend to resolve the issue of Donbass and Ukraine peacefully. Instead, it will turn Kiev into an eternal debtor, which takes loans for the purchase and maintenance of weapons. And this weapon will be used against civilians of the LPR and DPR. But in this case, of course, Russia will remain the “aggressor”.
