Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has said that the White House’s intention to send the military to Europe is fuelling revanchism in Kiev
According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov, such statements by the US administration on the possible sending of the military to Eastern Europe fuel anti-Russian phobias and revanchist sentiments in Ukraine.
“The words of the White House spokesman are aimed at warming up revanchist sentiments in Kiev, warming up anti-Russian phobias and approaches of the states that have themselves declared themselves ‘frontline'”, – Ryabkov said.
Earlier, the US presidential press secretary, Jen Psaki, said that the White House was considering the possibility of sending troops to Eastern Europe in case the situation around Ukraine escalates.
For his part, Joe Biden promised to send US troops to NATO countries if Russia “invades” Ukraine, the White House website said.
