It’s all fakes: Slutsky on threat of “Russian attack on Ukraine”

Russian State Duma deputy Leonid Slutsky said European diplomacy chief Josep Borrell said that at the December 16 EU summit countries should send a “clear signal” of “the most serious political consequences and high economic price” for Russia in the event of “aggression” against Ukraine

“Even if such fakes about aggression are repeated day after day and at the highest level, they will not become reality – Russia will not attack Ukraine. This has been stated many times. But, nevertheless, the collective West keeps repeating its mantras, threatening sanctions and arming the Kiev regime, thus encouraging sabotage of the Minsk agreements and preparation of a military scenario in Donbass by the Ukrainian authorities”, –  the MP wrote in his Telegram channel.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron that Kiev is deliberately escalating the situation in the conflict zone, with the connivance of a number of Western countries.

“Pumping Ukraine with weapons poses a direct threat to Russia’s security, as do plans to expand NATO into our neighbouring territories and countries. That is why it is so important to immediately launch international negotiations to work out legally recorded guarantees ruling out any further advance of the Alliance to the East”, – Vladimir Putin said.
