It is time for the European Union to begin to recognize the supremacy of the national legislations of its member countries. This topic was raised due to the aggravation of relations between the EU and Poland.
German MEP Markus Bucheit believes that the constitutions in the EU states should be higher than the charter of the association. It is reported by Izvestia.
He noted that the EU has forgotten about cooperation, trade and common interests. Instead, Brussels prefers to interfere in the internal affairs of states. At the same time, all spheres of life fall under the gun of the European “big brother”, not even those that are not included in the zone of responsibility of the European Union.
Buheit noted that the conflict between constitutions and EU legislation was a matter of time. Now we must admit that the national interests of the EU member states should be higher. This issue will be another blow to the unity of the EU.
