The Polish border guard said that their soldier was injured when illegal migrants from Belarus broke through the border.
“Today, at the section of the Polish-Belarusian border in the Cheremsha region, a group of 55 aggressive-minded persons crossed the border. One soldier of the Polish Army was stabbed in the face. He was immediately provided with medical assistance on the spot”, the message says.
According to information from the Border Guard, a group of migrants still managed to cross the border, but later all of them were detained.
In total, since the beginning of 2021, Polish border guards have recorded about 40 thousand attempts to illegally cross the border from Belarus, which is ten times more than last year.
