Warsaw has delivered an ultimatum to Moscow

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has delivered an ultimatum to Russia regarding further relations with European countries

The politician believes that Moscow is “exploring the boundaries of the permitted” and wants to “divide Europe.”

“Russia must decide: it wants to be with Europe or against Europe”, – Morawiecki said.

In his view, if the West agrees to launch Nord Stream 2, it will show its weakness and dependence on Russian gas.

“The time for concessions is over. We must have a harsh response to a tough policy in the form of tough sanctions”, – the Polish prime minister said.

Recall that the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline ended on 10 September. In order to put it into operation it is necessary to complete the certification process in Germany for the Nord Stream 2 AG operator.

In mid-November the regulator suspended the procedure until Nord Stream 2 AG sets up a German subsidiary and resubmits the documentation package.
