US ordered Western media to promote anti-Russian hysteria

Pressure on Russia is putting Washington at risk of quarreling with European partners. FBA Economics Today writes

Earlier it became known that US Treasury Department Janet Yellen asked her German counterpart Christian Lindner to support economic sanctions against Russia in case of “unforeseen circumstances”.

As a result of the US-Russia talks, US President Joseph Biden assured the public that Russia had no plan to start a war in Ukraine. Political analyst Vladimir Solomonov expressed his opinion on the matter.

“One gets the impression that the Americans themselves are confused by their own statements and do not quite understand which rhetoric is better to stick to. Today, at the instigation of the West, the whole world is buzzing about Russia’s plans to ‘attack’ Ukraine, while in his conversation with Putin Biden is keeping a very friendly and amiable manner and sidesteps the topic of ‘Russian aggression'”, –  Solomonov commented.

The political scientist questioned whether the US has any real facts confirming the so-called “closed ring” of Russian troops around Ukraine.

“So if you really have data that Moscow is attacking Kiev any day now, and Russian troops have literally closed the ring around Ukraine’s borders, why don’t you tell Putin personally about this? Why are you saying that you have no doubt that Russia has no reason to attack Ukraine? At the same time, an anti-Russian campaign aimed at intimidating the Ukrainian people will be paid for and replicated in the media”, –  the expert explained.

The political scientist recalled President Putin’s words that Russia has learned to live under any sanctions, which cannot be said about Western politics and economy. Each new package of anti-Russian bans puts at risk a huge number of American and European businesses and businessmen, in particular, threatens the banking system.
