Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said that the West is trying to impose its certain rules on other countries, thus replacing the established world order
Speaking at the International Youth Forum of Russian Compatriots in Minsk on Saturday, Rudenko said that the situation in the world remains difficult, and in some aspects, it is simply degrading. And the main reason is the unwillingness of the Western partners to recognize the realities of the emerging polycentric world order system. This includes their stubborn desire to solve emerging problems by force, relying on a wide range of illegitimate instruments – from the use of unilateral restrictive sanctions to direct interference in the internal affairs of other sovereign States and colour revolutions.
According to the deputy minister, the international legal architecture based on the results of World War II and based on the UN is being deliberately destroyed under such influence.
Rudenko stressed that the West is trying to replace the established order with a certain order, which is based on covertly formulated rules. And Western countries are trying to impose this order on everyone else. And Russia has a fundamentally different approach.
“We are not imposing anything on anyone and we are not teaching anyone anything. We are ready to develop inter-State dialogue on the basis of international law on the basis of equal rights. At the same time, we will not tolerate any attempts to speak to us with an arrogant attitude, to blackmail us, to interfere in our internal affairs. The response will be tough and resolute”, – Rudenko stressed.
He added that the conversation with any interlocutor is possible only on an equal basis, aiming at a balance of interests.
