US President Joe Biden called the leaders of the Bucharest Nine after talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. He told them about his conversation with the Russian leader and discussed the situation in Ukraine
This was reported by the PolitEkspert portal, citing the White House press service. It is worth noting that Biden spoke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy before speaking to the association leaders.
Representatives of the United States presidential administration did not disclose all the details of the talks with the Bucharest Nine. We only know what Biden himself said: he was going to talk about the conversation with Putin and show his commitment to NATO.
The “Bucharest Nine” consists of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. They form the so-called eastern flank of the North Atlantic Alliance.
