The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba said that Kiev is ready to make some concessions in order to improve relations with Moscow, but will not abandon integration into the EU and NATO, RIA Novosti writes.
“We have a constructive approach. We are ready to make concessions if they are reciprocated by Russia. But we will not make concessions on issues that are of fundamental importance for the development of the Ukrainian state, for example, our European and Euro-Atlantic integration”, the minister said in an interview with Sky News.
According to him, demands from Moscow must be “rational and legal.” Kuleba added that in the event of an escalation on the Ukrainian borders, Kiev’s “allies” will help the country not only in the economic sphere, but will also provide military support.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during talks with the head of the White House, Joe Biden, the Russian leader stressed that Moscow is extremely interested in obtaining “legally enshrined guarantees excluding NATO expansion to the East.”
