US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said America fears Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to go down in history by recreating the Soviet Union, said.
“There are fears that he is trying to recreate the Soviet Union as a project of his legacy, and then who knows if his appetite will be satisfied with what he has eaten or will he decide to go further?” – said the deputy secretary of state.
She also warned Russia against implementing the plans for the invasion of Ukraine attributed to her, saying that the confrontation with the modernized Ukrainian army in comparison with 2014 will cost a lot of blood.
“There are many reasons why none of us should want war. It will be extremely bloody and difficult for Ukraine, but also extremely bloody and difficult for Russia”, Nuland said.
