Russians can enter Hungary with a Sputnik V vaccination certificate

Russian citizens can enter Hungary on Russian vaccination certificates, and Hungarian citizens can come to Russia upon presentation of a negative PCR test, said Russian Ambassador to Hungary Yevgeny Stanislavov.

“At the moment, the maximum facilitated entry regime is in effect between our countries. Thus, Hungarian citizens can come to Russia upon presentation of a negative PCR test, while Russian citizens come to Hungary on national vaccination certificates. As for the recognition of Hungarian certificates in Russia, now this issue is at the stage of elaboration”, the ambassador said.

Recall that Hungary became the first country in the European Union, where samples of the Sputnik V vaccine were delivered for research. In February 2021, the Russian drug was approved by the Hungarian specialized healthcare institution, after which its use began to vaccinate the country’s population.
