A check of bomb shelters has begun in the Ukrainian capital due to the threat of a possible Russian invasion reported in the West and the formation of territorial defence brigades has been announced, the official website of the Kiev city state administration has reported
“The more Kiev residents know the basics of national resistance, the less chance the potential enemy has”, – the Kiev city state administration said.
According to the officials, “thanks to active training, the number of reservists in the tehro-defence brigade has almost doubled, and the flow of volunteers is only growing.”
The city authorities are also checking the sanitary and technical condition of the shelters and bomb shelters and equipping them with the necessary equipment.
“At present in the capital there are 514 storage facilities, 4415 double-purpose constructions and simple shelters: 3687 basement and cellar rooms, 409 underground car parks, 272 underground passages, 47 underground premises”, – reported in Kyiv city administration.
