The World Health Organization experts’ inspection in Russia to evaluate the Sputnik V COVID vaccine will take place in January 2022, the WHO press service reported, RIA Novosti reports.
“WHO and RDIF met at the end of November to discuss the need for more data on the quality, safety and efficacy of the vaccine. The company will provide a detailed data submission roadmap so that WHO can expedite vaccine evaluation. Submission of data is expected by the end of December 2021. It is impossible to carry out an inspection before the data are presented and evaluated”, the WHO said.
Earlier, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev said that the Russian vaccine against covid Sputnik V has not yet been approved by WHO due to minor bureaucratic issues.
