Washington accuses Russia of building up forces near Ukraine’s borders

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has said that Russia is allegedly undermining the foundations of the OSCE and is building up forces along Ukraine’s borders, European Pravda writes

“We are deeply concerned, given the evidence that Russia may be planning further significant aggression against Ukraine. We therefore call on Russia to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, take steps towards de-escalation, roll back the military build-up and return forces to normal peaceful positions and implement the Minsk agreements”, – Blinken said.

The head of the Russian State Duma committee for international affairs, Leonid Slutskyy, said that the latest statements by the NATO leadership confirmed the relevance of the proposal to start negotiations on security guarantees on Russia’s western borders. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin had called for the start of substantive negotiations to achieve legal guarantees of the North Atlantic Alliance’s non-expansion to the East.
