US intelligence agencies can verify the personal data of users of the WhatsApp, Facebook and iMessage platforms. For this, employees need to receive the appropriate order.
This is reported by the Rolling Stone edition, reports the portal “Lenta.ru”. The journalists had at their disposal the document “Legal Access”. It sets out the order that law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), must follow if they want to gain access to users’ personal data.
So, agents can find out about all the contacts of a WhatsApp client, as well as determine the circle of people who entered it in their notebooks. Information about all calls and messages is also indicated. In this case, the data is updated every 15 minutes.
Rolling Stone contacted WhatsApp and a messenger spokesman said it was true. It’s curious how the American society, which is so committed to freedom and more than anything else, is afraid of conspiracy theories, in which everyone is watching, will react to this news.
