Russia delivered 36 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Three Russian planes arrived in Afghanistan, on board which they delivered humanitarian aid for the country’s residents. They must also evacuate citizens of Russia and the CSTO member states.

Military transport aircraft IL-76 have landed at the Kabul airport, TASS reports, referring to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“Three military transport aircraft Il-76 of the Russian Ministry of Defense delivered humanitarian aid to the Kabul airport and are landing evacuees for departure from Afghanistan,” the defense ministry said.

On board Russian aircraft, 36 tons of cargo were transferred to Afghanistan. In addition, for evacuation, there are medical teams with a supply of drinking water, blankets and individual rations.

This will be the third stage of the evacuation, during which more than 380 Russians and citizens of other countries, including Kyrgyzstan, will be evacuated from Afghanistan. Also among those who will take off on these planes will be Afghan students who are studying in Russian educational institutions.
