Blinken accused Russia of trying to destabilize the situation in Ukraine

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington is carefully analyzing the situation against the background of Ukraine’s statements about Russia’s attempt to “destabilize the situation” in the country.

The US Secretary of State noted that the White House will hold consultations with partners regarding the alleged presence of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine. The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov previously stated that Moscow is moving troops within its territory and is not threatening anyone.

“We know that Russia often combines its efforts with attempts to destabilize the country internally. This is part of the training manual. Any actions by Russia to escalate will cause great concern for the United States, as well as for Latvia, and a renewed aggression will entail serious consequences”, Blinken said during the briefing.

We will remind that during a large press conference, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kiev has information that the Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov allegedly plans to carry out a coup d’état in early December. According to Zelensky, they want to spend $ 1 billion on the implementation of the plans. Sergei Markov, a political scientist and director of the Institute for Political Studies, said that a “big and dirty oligarchic war” had begun in Ukraine.
