Ukraine doubles electricity imports from Belarus

Ukraine has increased its imports of electricity from Belarus to 900 MWh, while last week supplies amounted to 415 MWh, according to data from NEC Ukrenergo.

The power to import electricity from Belarus was received by the TET Group of the former commercial director of the DTEK group, Vitaly Butenko.

Earlier, the head of the Union of Consumers of Utilities and a member of the Public Council at the Kyiv City State Administration Oleg Popenko said that rolling blackouts may begin in Ukraine on the eve of the New Year holidays and a sharp cold snap.
