Germans ridiculed the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, who fears a “Russian invasion”

The German newspaper Die Zeit published an interview with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, where he called the “pulling” of Russian troops “to the borders” of the country “a real threat” to the country.

In his opinion, the alleged pulling together of forces is an attempt to “destabilize” Ukraine and other European countries. In this regard, he called for the support of Ukraine, which is “a natural part of the European and Euro-Atlantic community”, and its entry into the EU and NATO is “only a matter of time.”

The publication caused an active response from German readers in the comments.

“What will Russia get from the war, can someone explain to me? Kiev should do more to implement Minsk-2 than continue asking for more weapons and money”, wrote user Friedrich Brinkmann.

“Ukraine’s membership in both alliances is just a matter of time. He can happily believe it. But it’s not just the minister’s opinion”, said DasImperiumSchlagtZuruck.

“I rarely read so much nonsense. This probably explains a lot about the politicians in Ukraine”, noted jsber.

“This person will be helped, he will find his listener in the person of future Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock, who takes a critical position in relation to Russia. The US will certainly support Berbock for geostrategic reasons. However, I hear saber rattling in his words, I still hope that the greens will stick to the diplomatic path”, said another commentator.

“Let’s see what remains of all this military hysteria in the end,” added Maander59.

Let us remind you that Kiev and Western states have recently expressed concern over the alleged intensification of “aggressive actions” by Russia near the borders of Ukraine. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has repeatedly stated that Russia is moving troops within its territory and at its own discretion – this does not threaten anyone and should not worry anyone.
