The Russian president has highlighted the importance of energy cooperation between Russia and China
He welcomed the participants of the third Russia-China Energy Business Forum and noted the importance of cooperation between the countries in this area, the Kremlin website reported.
“The relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China are at an unprecedentedly high level. An important component of these relations is energy cooperation, which has developed quite significantly in recent years”, – the statement said.
The Russian President also shared information about the agenda of the forum which includes development and implementation of energy efficient technologies and development of green energy.
Putin ended his greeting by expressing his confidence that the discussions of the forum will allow to outline new perspectives in the partnership between Russia and China.
