European gas withdrawals in November break historical record since 2011

In the history of Gas Infrastructure Europe, the withdrawal of gas from the European underground gas storages has reached the highest point since 2011 in November 2021. Interfax writes

According to the newspaper, at the moment the fuel reserves in underground gas storages in Europe are 16% less than in the last five years. As of November 27, there were 69.94% of blue fuel in storage.

The publication notes that Europe is experiencing its coldest temperature in five years, with November specifically being the coldest month since 2016.

Since the beginning of last week, most of Europe’s storage facilities have been operating at withdrawal, particularly in Western Europe – Austria, Germany and the Netherlands.

Earlier, Germany demanded the US to stop sanctions against the launch and certification of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
