NATO mission suffered a crushing defeat in Afghanistan – Hungarian foreign minister

NATO’s 20-year mission in Afghanistan has ended in total failure. For the country itself it caused a catastrophe, the consequences of which would take many years to remedy

This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó in conversation with RT, reports PolitEkspert.

“Twenty years of international mission have ended in failure because we had plans to provide financial assistance to maintain Afghanistan’s national security and defense forces until 2024”, –  he said.

The Hungarian foreign minister noted his country’s involvement in evacuating people from Afghanistan. It helped evacuate Afghan citizens who had cooperated with Hungary. A total of 400 people were evacuated by the European state.
