Biden’s adviser promised Ukrainian politician to help defend Ukraine from an imaginary threat from Russia

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak spoke with US President Joe Biden’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

He called the Kiev politician by phone, portal 112 reports, referring to the press service of the White House. US National Security Council spokeswoman Emily Horn also commented on the situation.

“They discussed their shared concerns about Russia’s ongoing hostilities near the border with Ukraine and its tough rhetoric against Ukraine. They agreed that all sides should continue diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions”, she said.

The perceived threat from Russia has become a favorite topic in recent years, but for several weeks it has been talked about incessantly. The reason lies in the fact that Kiev and Washington imagines a concentration of Russian troops on the border, which are supposedly preparing for an invasion.

Against this background, Sullivan did not forget to reassure Yermak and declared about the “unshakable commitment of the United States to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.”
