The American Chamber of Commerce in Russia has asked the US authorities to recognize the Sputnik V vaccination certificates, Izvestia reports.
The organization’s president, Alexis Rodzianko, said that now, to travel from Russia to the United States, one needs a visa that “cannot be obtained”, as well as an inoculation with a drug approved by the WHO or the American authorities.
“Therefore, we asked the US government to take other vaccines for business travel, including Sputnik V,” said Rodzianko.
The head of the American Chamber of Commerce specified that the Foreign Ministry has already accepted the document for consideration.
In turn, the Russian Ministry of Health recalled that Moscow had previously proposed to Washington to work out a mechanism for the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates.
