The Pentagon has created the AOIMSG (Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group) unit, which will focus on tracking unidentified flying objects
The Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronisation Group replaces the previous special group, which has been reorganised. The US Department of Defence stressed that Washington takes reports of intrusions [into airspace] of any flying objects, both identified and unidentified, very “seriously and investigates each one”.
“The AOIMSG will synchronise the efforts of the Department and other US government agencies to detect, identify and attribute objects of interest […] and assess and mitigate any associated flight safety and national security threats”, – the Pentagon press office said.
Recall that a report for the US Congress was published in June, which said that US intelligence agencies are not yet able to accurately explain the nature of the origin of the unidentified flying objects previously seen by the US military. The document contains data on 144 incidents that occurred between November 2004 and March 2021.
