Another attempt by migrants to break into a European country occurred on the border between Belarus and Poland. One Polish border guard was injured in the incident
This was reported by the portal 112, citing polsatnews.pl. The attempted breakthrough took place at several sections of the border.
“At the sections guarded by border guards in Dubice Cerkiewne and in Mielnik, groups of aggressive foreigners attacked the border. The intruders threw stones and pieces of wood at the officers and soldiers. One of the soldiers sustained a head wound. He was given medical treatment”, – the report said.
In addition, another incident occurred on the Bug River. Six people tried to swim from Belarus to Poland, using a pontoon. Polish border guards prevented them from doing so.
A total of 267 attempts to break through to Poland were recorded during the day. In the meantime, Polish authorities issued 44 decisions for foreigners to leave their country.
