Kuleba again linked the certification of Nord Stream-2 to “the pressure Russia is now exerting on several fronts of the hybrid war.”
“We insist, and we are not alone, with us are a number of EU member states, the European Commission, that not only the letter, but also the spirit of the EU’s Third Energy Package should correspond to Nord Stream 2. Only then will the Nord Stream not turn into a northern weapon”, he said on the air of the Ukraina24 TV channel.
The minister believes that Russia is trying to find gaps in European legislation and create preferential conditions for Nord Stream 2.
“There is a crisis with citizens who were brought to the border with the European Union, and the aggravation of the situation on the Ukrainian borders, an increase in Russian propaganda and disinformation in the EU countries, and Russia’s actions to paralyze the Normandy format and the Minsk process – all these are elements of the same games. We are discussing this with our partners, and they agree with us”.
