There is no alternative to Russian gas – Belgrade

The head of the Serbian Gas Association, Vojislav Vuletic, said there was no alternative to Russian gas, RIA Novosti reported.

Serbia will also be satisfied with an agreement on gas supplies from Russia at a price of $ 450 to $ 500 per thousand cubic meters.

“Until now, the price for us was calculated according to the so-called oil formula. It suited us completely, we knew what the trends were, how it was calculated and what the gas price would be. Obviously, now the agreements can include an element of the exchange, market price”, said the head of the Serbian Gas Association.

Let us remind you that Serbian President Aleksandr Vucic is planning a trip to Moscow on November 24, and on November 25 he is expecting a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Serbian leader intends to discuss with the leadership of Russia and Gazprom the price, gas volumes and terms of the agreement. Now the country receives Russian gas at $ 270 per 1,000 cubic meters, the contract expires at the end of 2021.
