Germany is interested in the early launch of a new Russian gas pipeline, but France, the United States and Italy can put pressure on the FRG and disrupt the commissioning of Nord Stream-2. This opinion was expressed by the deputy of the European Parliament Gunnar Beck.
According to the politician, the commissioning of Nord Stream 2 is a matter of time, and pressure from a number of states towards Germany is unlikely to affect the launch of the pipeline. Written by FBA “Economics Today”.
“There is a small possibility that the project could be thwarted not because of pressure from Poland, but because of pressure from France, Italy and the United States,” Beck said.
Earlier, Poland, represented by Prime Minister Morawiecki, called on Germany to sabotage the Nord Stream-2 certification in order to deprive Russia of additional funds.
