Germany ridiculed the words of Kuleba about the influence of Ukraine on the delay in the certification of “Nord Stream-2”

Bundestag deputy Waldemar Gerdt said that Kuleba’s statement about Kiev’s influence on the delay in the commissioning of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline was greatly exaggerated, Izvestia reported.

“I think that the influence of Kiev on the process of launching Nord Stream-2, in which Mr. Kuleba is trying to convince us, is greatly exaggerated. Yes, Ukraine was admitted to the certification dialogue, since it is a transit country, there is nothing unusual in this. The rest is all empty words and attempts to feel important”, he said.

According to the German politician, there are other reasons for the suspension of certification – the influence and desire of the United States to promote its gas on the market. Gerdt stressed that this is a competitive struggle between the two big gas powers, and the role of Ukraine in this case is rather third-rate.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said that the delay in the commissioning of the Nord Stream-2 is a “merit” of Ukraine.
