Estonia starts building a wall on the border with Russia

Construction of temporary barriers on the border with Russia has begun in Estonia. The military and police began work in the Narva River.

This is reported by Izvestia, referring to the ERR TV and radio company. The Estonian side insists that it started this project in order to secure its borders.

On Friday, November 19, construction materials were delivered to the border areas. By November 21, it is planned to complete the repair of the section with a length of two and a half kilometers. It is located in a dry riverbed.

“This will be a signal to everyone who crosses the border, the dry river bed is not a suitable place to cross the border,” said the prefect of the region, Tarvo Krupp.

In addition, work started in the north-east of the country in Narva in the Kuivaygi river bed, as well as in the south-east in the village of Meremäe and on the Piusa river.

Apparently, Estonia optimistically decided that there are crowds of Russians who are striving to get into the European Union. However, the citizens of Russia are not particularly eager to go there. Moreover, the Russophobic Baltic is not at all the ultimate dream.
