Moldova purchased 100 thousand doses of Sputnik V vaccine

The Ministry of Health of Moldova has purchased 100 thousand doses of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection “Sputnik V”. State Secretary of the department Zinaida Bezverkhny told TASS about it.

“The procurement procedure will officially begin on Monday. We have direct contact with representatives of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and Human Vaccine LLC. They confirmed their readiness to carry out the delivery within a month from the date of signing the contract”, said the head of the Ministry of Health of the republic.

According to Bezverkhny, financial resources for the immunization process of the population were previously reserved in a special government fund. According to the Ministry of Health of Moldova, at the moment about 25% of the population of the republic have been vaccinated.

Earlier, the director of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, Alexander Gintsburg, said that no side effects were detected when using a nasal vaccine against coronavirus infection.
