Biden’s support for Russia has changed the balance of power in Europe

The decision of US President Joe Biden not to build obstacles to the launch of Nord Stream-2 led to Russia’s domination over Europe. This opinion was expressed by the professor of history Henrik Jenson. Writes about this Ukraine.ru.

According to the historian, Europe today is not able to find solutions to most problems, including the migration crisis. A weakening culture and a decline in intellectual level have led to the creation of powerful political groups that advocate a revision of Western values and view current European policies as “globally harmful.”

“Several years ago, the EU could speak with Russia from a position of strength. This is no longer the case. Today the opposite is true. Something very important happened when Joe Biden this summer gave the green light to Putin’s Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. And not only for the countries through which it passes”, says Jenson.

The historian believes that the European Union is not capable of sensibly assessing the threat of a migration crisis and further “cultural dilution” of Western countries. On the other hand, ordinary citizens of Europe no longer see any harm in bringing in fresh trends, thereby diluting the established policy of oppression of the West.
