Russian Foreign Ministry commented on an article by an Italian journalist about Russian gas

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on an article in the Italian newspaper la Repubblica, where she reminded editor-in-chief Maurizio Molinari that Russia has never let Italy down with gas supplies.

Zakharova, in response to the article “Tanks and Migrants: Putin’s Vise Squeeze Europe”, recalled that Italy annually receives from Russia up to 20 billion cubic meters of gas.

“Moscow has never failed or deceived Rome on gas supplies. How does the conscience of an Italian journalist allow one to speak in such a boorish tone about Russian suppliers of hydrocarbons? Personally, Mr. Molinari, don’t you like Russian gas? Fine. I have a great idea – heat your house with la Repubblica newspaper in protest”, Zakharova wrote on the Telegram channel.

Also, the Foreign Ministry spokesman advised Molinari to publish “at least one sentence of truth” – Russia is the most reliable gas supplier for Europe.
